My my My my

Granite Bay Football Alumni,

I am honored and humbled to introduce myself to you as the new head football coach at Granite Bay.  I have been a member of the coaching staff since 2004 and it has been a privilege to witness, cultivate and participate in the traditions and greatness that you, along with Coach Cooper, have helped create.

Coach Cooper and I are long time, dear friends.  Since the announcement of his retirement last February, we have been working diligently to ensure that we continue the tradition of excellence that has become synonymous with Granite Bay Football.  It is my goal that our football program remains one of the top programs in the State of California.

As many of you know, the 2015 season marked the 20th anniversary of Granite Bay Football, and in 2016, we look to field a team that can earn the right to put their stamp on the history of the program.  I can promise you they will compete the right way and will give you something to be proud of.   This season, we are reaching out to our alumni players.  We are going to need your support for our program to remain on top.

We have a tremendous schedule this season that I am excited to share with you.   This season Granite Bay will host some of the top teams in the state, including the reigning Open Division and Division 1 state champions, De La Salle High School and Folsom High School.  This is in addition to competing in the toughest league in Northern California.

I would like to invite you to come to some of our home games this season and be a part of Granite Bay Football.   The Granite Bay Football/Touchdown Club website includes an alumni area where you can view the 2016 game schedule, as well as information on how you can support the program financially.  Alumni are also invited to attend our Friday Night Lights fundraiser, to be held Friday, October 7, which is an evening of fun and friends gathered to celebrate and support Granite Bay Football.  Tickets will be available in September, and I hope to see you there.

What you have helped create at Granite Bay is truly remarkable and is the envy of other programs.  Your greatness on the field has been recognized and now we hopefully get to celebrate the lives you have created for yourselves as college graduates, young professionals, and family men.

GRIZZLY PRIDE is being taught to our players as: "It is not what kind of player you are, it is what kind of person you are."  This ideal has been at the heart of Granite Bay Football and something we hope to continue.  Your participation and continued involvement in this great program is paramount to our success.  I hope to meet many of you as time goes on.  For those I have had the pleasure of coaching, I am extremely proud of you and look forward to seeing you soon.  Grizzly Pride!

Grizzly Pride!
